Job Description: Director, Strategy Development

Position Summary:
The Director of Strategy Development will be instrumental in defining and executing the company's strategic direction. This role requires a strategic generalist with a solid background in strategy consulting and the ambition to transition into an operational leadership position within three years. The Director will analyse market trends and internal capabilities, working closely with senior leadership to provide actionable insights and recommendations that enhance business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with corporate objectives and drive long-term business growth.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that strategic initiatives are effectively integrated into operational planning.
- Prepare and present clear and compelling strategic recommendations to senior executives, translating insights into actionable plans.
- Monitor industry trends and conduct scenario planning to inform strategic priorities and adaptation to market changes.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying operational challenges and developing strategies to address them.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders to gather insights and best practices that align with the company's strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 6-8 years of experience in strategy consulting, ideally with a top-tier consulting firm.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of developing and executing business strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders.
- Ambition and a clear commitment to move into an operational leadership role within approximately three years.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is a plus, with a strong understanding of operational challenges and opportunities.
