About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Technical Development Expert to join a critical S/4HANA transformation project for a leading pharmaceutical client. This is a remote-based contract opportunity offering the chance to contribute your expertise to a complex and rewarding project.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP solutions within the S/4HANA environment, specifically focusing on Operations and Supply Chain modules (e.g., MM, PP, SD).
Analyse existing SAP systems and identify areas for improvement and optimisation within the S/4HANA context.
Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure solution quality and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ABAP development in S/4HANA.
Adhere to client's development standards and best practices.
Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Stay abreast of the latest SAP technologies and trends, particularly in the S/4HANA space.
Experience:
10+ years of proven experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong focus on complex solutions within Operations and Supply Chain modules (MM, PP, SD).
Demonstrable experience in developing within the S/4HANA environment.
Proficiency in ABAP Objects, Data services, and modern ABAP programming techniques.
Experience with SAP Fiori and UI5 development is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectivelyin a remote team environment.
Fluent English speaking is essential
Ability to join the project within the next 4 weeks.
