About the Role:

As an SAP Director at one of the leading global consulting firms, you will be responsible for driving strategic SAP initiatives for our clients, providing leadership to large-scale SAP transformations, and managing end-to-end SAP implementations. You will lead teams of consultants and collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver innovative, efficient, and scalable solutions tailored to client needs.

This is a high-impact role where you will leverage your deep SAP expertise and leadership skills to influence SAP strategies and processes across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, automotive, finance, and healthcare.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Engagement & Strategy:

    • Act as the trusted advisor for C-level executives and senior stakeholders, guiding them through SAP transformation and optimization initiatives.
    • Lead the development of SAP strategies aligned with client business goals, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
    • Manage the overall SAP engagement lifecycle from pre-sales to post-implementation support.
  2. SAP Project Leadership:

    • Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, complex SAP transformation projects.
    • Ensure the successful integration of SAP solutions across multiple business functions, including finance, logistics, human resources, and supply chain.
    • Ensure high-quality deliverables, managing scope, timelines, budget, and resources effectively.
  3. Team Leadership & Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior SAP consultants, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
    • Provide career development opportunities and training to team members, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic goals and SAP capabilities.
  4. Business Development & Sales:

    • Contribute to business development activities, including identifying new SAP opportunities and generating leads.
    • Build strong relationships with existing clients and identify additional SAP services that can be offered to enhance client success.
    • Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and bids for SAP-related projects.
  5. Thought Leadership & Industry Expertise:

    • Stay at the forefront of SAP technologies and trends, driving thought leadership in the market.
    • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and webinars, promoting SAP capabilities and the firm’s expertise.
    • Contribute to internal knowledge management initiatives, ensuring best practices are shared and adopted.
  6. Risk & Compliance Management:

    • Proactively identify and manage project risks, providing mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance with both internal and external standards and regulations.
    • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction by delivering on commitments, addressing concerns, and ensuring continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s or MBA preferred.

  • Experience:

    • At least 10-15 years of professional experience in SAP consulting, with a proven track record in leading large-scale SAP transformation projects.
    • Significant experience working with key SAP modules (S/4HANA, SAP Cloud, SAP ERP, SAP SCM, SAP FICO, etc.).
    • Demonstrated success in managing SAP teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
    • Deep knowledge of SAP solutions across industries such as manufacturing, finance, automotive, or public sector.
  • Skills:

    • Expertise in SAP architecture, design, and implementation methodologies.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire high-performing teams.
    • Excellent client management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at senior levels.
    • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Certifications: SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate, SAP Certified Technology Associate, etc.) are a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in S/4HANA implementations and migrations.
  • Familiarity with SAP’s cloud offerings and digital transformation strategies.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience with international clients and projects, especially in the European market.
