Job Description: Account Director – Strategic Account (Manufacturing Sector)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Director to lead and grow our strategic account with one of the largest companies in the manufacturing sector. This role is pivotal to positioning our consulting firm as the partner of choice for digital transformation, focusing on cutting-edge solutions in SAP, Data & AI.

The successful candidate will work at an executive level, driving engagement across the client’s diverse group of companies, fostering deep relationships, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional business value.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, managing relationships at the C-suite and executive levels across their group of companies.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account strategy to position the consultancy as the trusted partner for digital transformation.
  • Identify and cultivate new opportunities to expand the scope of work and deepen partnerships.

2. Business Development

  • Drive growth by identifying client needs and matching them with the consultancy’s capabilities in SAP, Data & AI, and other digital transformation services.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations, and value-driven discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Act as a thought leader, leveraging market insights to guide the client in achieving their digital transformation goals.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the client’s organization, including with board members, business unit leaders, and IT executives.
  • Act as a bridge between the client and internal consulting teams, ensuring alignment on objectives and outcomes.
  • Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams within the consultancy and the client’s ecosystem.

4. Delivery Excellence

  • Oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure client objectives are met and outcomes are sustainable.
  • Continuously monitor and measure the impact of solutions delivered, reinforcing the value proposition.

5. Leadership and Collaboration

  • Act as a leader within the organization, mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of collaboration.
  • Work closely with practice leads in SAP, Data, and AI to align services with client needs and ensure capability readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in account management, consulting, or business development roles, preferably within the manufacturing sector or working with strategic accounts.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of SAP, Data Analytics, and AI solutions in the context of digital transformation.
  • Relationship Building: Proven track record of engaging and building relationships with C-level executives in large, complex organizations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute account strategies that drive growth and value.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in German and English is required.
